Abstract

Purpose – to analyze the management of technological modernization of the national economy, identify areas for its implementation, current issues of management of technological modernization of the regional economy and consider proposals on the issue.
Methodology – the study used the "methodology for calculating the dynamics of production capacity", theoretical and empirical research methods.
Originality / value – that the expansion of market relations, recent changes in the system of economic management have had a significant impact on the place and role of regions in the economic system. In this regard, the issues of management of technological modernization of the region's economy, state regulation of their development will undoubtedly become relevant.
Findings – the directions, criteria and methods of managing the technological modernization of the economy of the Zhambyl region are investigated and structured. In the technological modernization of enterprises in the region, the organization of technical cooperation between business and government has established itself as one of the options. Given that currently the main economic activity is carried out in the regions, it is important to ensure adequate financial independence to meet the challenges of economic and technological modernization. In this regard, the issues of delimitation of powers between the levels of management of technological modernization of the Zhambyl region, regulation of interbudgetary relations were considered as the main conditions for economic growth in Kazakhstan. The solution of such important issues is directly related to the development of regional economic management.

Abstract

The purpose of the study is to analyze the indicators of the territorial development of the Republic of Kazakhstan based on the materials of the Karaganda region to maintain and develop new competitive types of economic activity in the region, contributing to national growth.
Methodology – the methodological basis of the study is a system of various techniques that make up a complex of methods, mechanisms, principles, measures to improve the efficiency of the use of tools to create favorable conditions for the policy of territorial development.
Research methods. Within the framework of the study, we used:
- theoretical, including the analysis of domestic and foreign scientists in the field of regional and territorial development;
- analysis of legislative and regulatory documents;
- methods of mathematical modeling and forecasting using correlation and regression analysis;
- method of graphical presentation of the results.
Originality / value – the study is based on the hypothesis that there is a connection between the indicator of the volume of innovative products and the factors produced in the Karaganda region:
- the volume of industrial production;
- GRP;
- shipped industrial products to residents in value terms;
- GVA of small business;
- GVA of medium-sized businesses.
Findings – as a result of the analysis, the hypothesis put forward by the author was confirmed only for the factor "GVA of medium business", which is associated not only with the manifestation of the activity of enterprises in the Karaganda region, but also is the result of the regional innovation policy.

Abstract

Currently, the agro-industrial complex is a set of different branches of the agricultural system that are aimed at producing or processing agricultural raw materials and obtaining various types of finished products from it.
The purpose of this study is to characterize the current state and prospects for the development of the agroindustrial complex of the region.
Methodology. Methods of the research on the implementation of tasks are considered using horizontal analysis methods, tabular and graphical data display, data comparison (comparison method), to solve specific problems of the regional agro-industrial complex.
The originality of the study is the use of a mechanism to substantiate strengths with positive opportunities for the development of the agro-industrial complex of the Turkestan region, which contribute to the creation of conditions for the cost-effective functioning of agro-industrial enterprises in the region.
Findings. The article analyzed the statistical data of the agro-industrial complex of the Turkestan region, identified vulnerable sectors of agriculture in the region. Despite available resources and capacity, challenges are being identified, such as:
– Low level of competitiveness of products and profitability of agro-industrial enterprises;
– Low efficiency of smallholders;
– Poorly oriented research on the needs of agricultural production, etc., which needs to be addressed in order to stabilize and improve the well-being of the agro-industrial sector and, as a result, the well-being of the region.

Abstract

The purpose of the research is to identify the degree of knowledge of scientific publications in the planning of the activities of institutions in the field of education using quantitative methods and content analysis.
Methodology – a content analysis was conducted for the main keywords in indexed international scientific publications and journals. Graphical and statistical methods of analysis are applied.
The originality / value of the research is the identification of a low degree of study using the method of content analysis of international scientific publications and the use of the results in the strategic improvement of academic activities in the long term.
Findings. The using of content analysis in the strategic planning of education reflected the little-studied scientific publications in the development of strategic planning. This analysis requires the need for a comprehensive study and research of this problem in the field of education. The source of the study was the data of the study and activity in the international indexed scientific articles in the journal Scopus in the field of education.

Abstract

The purpose of the research is to characterize the features of operational management in healthcare and medical institutions. In modern conditions, significant changes are taking place in all areas of activity, which determine and influence the formation of the strategy and dynamics of the development of operational management, as organizations have to adapt to the new world.
Methodology. When conducting research in this scientific article, such methods as system analysis, synthesis, logical grouping and modern methods used in the analysis of the organization's operational management systems were used.
Originality / value of research is based on the fact that operational management performs one of the most important functions of an organization in any field of activity and business. The study of operational management provides an opportunity to understand how to manage resources and business processes in order to increase their profitability. Operations management involves making a variety of trade-offs and interrelated decisions.
The results of the study lead to the conclusion that the flexibility and ability of management to quickly respond to the changing market conditions, changes in the volume of demand, characterize the level of competitiveness of the organization.

Abstract

The purpose of the study is to consider the specifics of the development of the catering industry in the context of the coronavirus pandemic and prepare appropriate proposals for the development of the catering industry.
Methodology. In processing the factual material, such traditional scientific methods as dialectical, chronological, logical, scientific generalizations, statistical and comparative analysis were used. Methods of comparison, structuring goals, as well as expert assessments were used as research tools.
Originality / value of the study – during the study, the current state of the restaurant industry in the Republic of Kazakhstan was considered, new formats of enterprises, their innovative concepts, taking into account various target segments and development trends were studied.
Findings – the article examines the role of innovative technologies and the impact of modern reality on the restaurant business, as well as the main trends in the development of cuisine, taking into account the national culture, traditions, healthy eating in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Abstract

This article examines the main aspects of gastronomic tourism as a modern type of tourism. This work also tells about the history of gastronomic travel. Analyzed the main problems and prospects for the development of gastronomic tourism, as a way to attract the attention of tourists to tourist destinations in Kazakhstan. The role of this type of tourism in the formation of a tourist destination brand is revealed. The analysis of the development of gastronomic tourism in various countries is carried out and its contribution to the development of tourist destinations in these countries is evaluated.
Purpose: to study the influence of gastronomic tourism on the development of a tourist destination, based on the experience of different countries
Methodology: theoretical research of information on a given topic, historical, comparative, analysis of literature on a selected topic, questioning.
Originality / value of the research: this research was compiled by the author for the first time and is completely original work
Findings: this research has proven the impact of gastronomic tourism on the development of a tourist destination and attracting attention to it. Recommendations have been developed for the creation and implementation of gastronomic tours to countries with potential for the development of this type of tourism.

Abstract

Our purpose is to investigate how bank-specific, macroeconomic indicators and political stability in the country impact commercial banks’ profitability in CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States) countries during the period of 1991-2017.
Methodology. To conduct empirical analysis, we applied feasible generalized least square (FGLS) method.
The originality / value of the research is the contribution to the existing literature is twofold: first, to estimate profitability determinants we used broad range of years from 1991 to 2017, secondly, the application of FGLS model was employed for the first time to conduct the research in CIS region using new indicators such as political stability, corruption and global financial crisis dummy.
Findings. Results of our empirical analysis state that some bank specific factors have positive and significant impact on profitability, while macroeconomic factors affect financial performance negatively. Political stability has no effect on profitability of banks in CIS countries.
