International experience of cluster development

Abstract

Purpose – Consideration of the foreign experience of cluster development of the economy as one of the factors of increasing the competitiveness of national economies. Clustering models of developed and some developing countries, like the USA, some countries of the European Union, India, Russia and China are analyzed.

Methodology – the study was conducted using a comparative analysis of foreign researchers M. Porter,

  1. Muro, B. Kac and other scientists. The correlation coefficient r is determined, which determines the dependence of the variable factors. And a diagram is constructed on the basis of one of the variables that affects the development of the economy.

Originality/Value – The author describes the model of cluster development and identifies the main advantages and weaknesses of national cluster policies.

Findings – In conclusion of the study, the interacting factors that shape the innovation environment, a favorable investment climate in the regions and an innovative structure for the cluster participants are considered.
