Көші-қонның қазіргі заманғы теориялары əртүрлі көші-қон ағындарының бар екендігін мойындайды, ауқымды жүйелер мен желілердегі иммиграция мен эмиграцияны зерттейді, қозғалыс, ұтқырлық жəне оның əсерлерін теориялық тұрғыда қарастыруға қабілетті болып табылады. Қорыта айтсақ, көшіқон үдерістерін түсіну үшін ауқымды зерттеулер қажет жəне онда барлық тəсілдемелер ескерілуі керек.
