<trans-abstract xml:lang="en">
<title>Purpose of research</title><p>Purpose of research: Explore the current critical success factor (CSF) literature of IT project implementations. Methodology: The journals were searched using key terms identified in the preliminary literature review.</p><p>Originality /value of research: This study provides a literature review to identify the critical success factors in IT project management that must be adhered to in order to be successful. Literature review was carried out using primary journal articles not earlier than 2005. A comparative analysis of CSFs IT projects between countries was carried out.</p>
<title>Findings</title><p>Findings: IT Project is a complex campaign that combines success and failure. It's a sophisticated implementation process, especially in developing countries, which often takes several years, huge amounts of funding and includes business process reengineering. To cope with IT project failure, organizations should use tools, techniques, and CSFs in managing their IT projects. This article overviewed the widespread factors of success in IT projects and analysis of articles on CSF detection in countries such as India, Pakistan, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, Norway.</p>
</trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>ключевые факторы успеха</kwd><kwd>ИТ-проекты</kwd><kwd>управление проектами</kwd><kwd>успех проекта</kwd><kwd>информационные системы</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>Key success factors</kwd><kwd>IT projects</kwd><kwd>Project Management</kwd><kwd>project success</kwd><kwd>Information Systems</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><title>References</title><ref id="cit1"><label>1</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="ru">Mia, I., The Global Information Technology Report. - 2011. - URL: http://www3.weforum.org/docs/WEF_GITR_Report_2011.pdf (дата обращения: 18.08.2020).</mixed-citation><mixed-citation xml:lang="en">Mia, I., (2011), “The Global Information Technology Report”, available at: http://www3.weforum.org/docs/WEF_GITR_Report_2011.pdf (accessed August 18, 2020).</mixed-citation></citation-alternatives></ref><ref id="cit2"><label>2</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="ru">Kyobe, M.
